We endeavour to give our puppies the best start in life. Our litters are whelped and raised in our busy home so they can be given around the clock care. They are handled and fed by everyone in our family and socialised from the beginning.
When the puppies are around 5 weeks old and in need of more space to run, play and grow they are moved to our purpose-built puppy room. Our puppy room has been specially built and designed using hospital grade hygiene board walls and vet grad vinyl flooring. Our comfortable puppy room also has a fully climate-controlled heating and cooling system so our puppies can enjoy being nice and snug in winter and cooler in the summer months.
We wean our puppies from 4 weeks old for three to four weeks, then introduce them to Topguards Classic Salmon and Potato dried puppy food for large breeds, which they are fed four times a day. Our puppy kibble has been specially formulated for the needs of a large breed fast growing puppy. We recommend gradually reducing the amount of food you feed your Boerboel puppy to twice a day as he or she gets older and swap to adult food between 12 to 14 months of age. Before your new puppy leaves for their forever home, they will have had their first vaccination, microchip and bring a complimentary 12kg bag of their puppy food with them.
